Course Overview: This course is for novice - intermediate shooters who are considering a shotgun as part of their home or business defense plan. Students will gain an insight into what shotguns can and cannot do. This course is an excellent follow up to our Introduction to Shotgun Class

Course Length: 2.5 Hours

• Ammo Types and their application in a defensive encounter

• Features and options for defensive shotguns

• Home floor plan considerations for possible shooting scenarios

• Emergency vs. Tactical reloading

• Hands on demonstrations

• Less-lethal shotgun defense strikes

• Weapon Retention

Range Session:

• Ammo penetration & spread demonstration

• Firing stances & recoil management

• Patterning your shotgun

• Effective Shot Placement

• Opportunity to sample different shotguns covered in the class session
