Introduction to Competition Shooting

Course Overview

Interested in taking your shooting skills to the next level? Intro to Competition Shooting is the perfect starting point for anyone curious about getting into the world of competitive shooting sports. This introductory class begins with a focused classroom session, where students will learn the fundamentals of competition shooting.

Topics

1. Classroom Instruction:

   • Safety protocols

   • Scoring systems

   • Gear setup

   • Stage strategies

   • Various match types including USPSA, IDPA and Steel Challenges

2. Live Fire Portion:
   After classroom instruction, students will transition to live range time, where they’ll apply what they’ve learned by running through a guided course of fire designed to simulate a real competition stage. Under the supervision of our experienced instructors, participants will practice target transitions, reloads, and stage movement in a safe, controlled environment.

   Whether your goal is to start competing locally or simply improve your practical shooting skills, this class provides a fun, safe, and confidence-building introduction to the sport.
